Dhikala sits deep in the core of Jim Corbett National Park, roughly 32 km from the nearest gate, wrapped around Asia's largest grassland ecosystem, the Dhikala Chaur. It is the only zone in Corbett where an overnight stay is mandatory, day permits are not issued here.
That restriction is exactly what keeps it wild. Tiger density here runs highest in the reserve, and the open grassland gives some of the best daylight sighting odds in India, elephants moving across the Chaur at dusk, tigers along the tree line at dawn.

Dhikala FRH rooms are allotted through the official Corbett Tiger Reserve booking window, released roughly 45 days ahead and selling out within hours. We track the release, secure your room, and bundle it with permits, meals and safari slots.

Dhikala is open from 15 November to 15 June. It closes during monsoon, mid-June to mid-November, when the core zone roads become unsafe.
